Hi, I’m Greta. I’m an apparel designer and design leader with nearly two decades of industry experience and a passion for art, design, and the great outdoors.
With a unique background in both the fashion and outdoor/performance apparel industries, I have a wealth of knowledge in garment design/aesthetic, development, styling and construction. I excel at process and project management and hands-on problem-solving - I work hard to create efficiencies that allow for creation of better products.
For years, I worked in the New York fashion industry. To recharge, I’d escape the city for adventures like hiking and rock climbing. Ultimately, I realized that these passions could do more than fuel my creativity. They could drive it. In the summer of 2017, I packed up and headed west to Salt Lake City, Utah.
I set myself a challenge – to work for companies committed to superior products, sustainable/ethical production and genuine consumer engagement, where I could push myself to grow.
I’m proud to currently build durable, end-use driven products built for the outdoors. I love engineering products that aren’t expected to end up in a landfill mere months after purchase. As lover of fashion and style and also a marathon/trail runner, skier, climber, and (very casual) mountain biker, I enjoy working with athletes and other end users to make thoughtful choices that drive both function and aesthetic.
Creating timeless pieces people will love, and want to keep, is one of my core values as a designer. I’m interested in using my unique skillset to raise awareness about clothing consumption and the benefits of conscientious craftsmanship.
Our new and unpredictable future is full of discerning buyers who look to brands to support causes and make a commitment to protecting our planet and reducing harm – and I am working hard to do my part to meet that call to action.
